¿How Can Your Major Make the World a Better Place?

Hello everybody, today I’ll write about ¿How can I contribute with my career to make the world a better place?

I´m studying forestry engineering. This career has a bad image, because some people don´t respect the planet, and they practice an indiscriminate logging, they don´t worry about the consequences, this affects our planet. But I want to make a difference from them. 

In my crazy dreams, I´d like to be a good investigator and I can contribute to generate tools for black carbon mitigating or mitigating some different gases that affect our planet. But in a more realistic view, I want to achieve a better sustainable forestal management.

When the forestry engineering does a good job, it allows all the ecological services work well.

I think that a forestry engineer can help to decrease the “planetary boundaries”, specifically when this affects use of land with plantation and when a good forest management may contribute to avoid biodiversity lost.
