Changes that I think could be made to study programme in my career.

Hello every one! Today I´m going to write about some changes that I think could be made to study programme in my career.

Well, the name of my career is “Forestall Engineering”, It´s a very beautiful career. I am in fourth year of university, for that I could write about university misfunction. Previously, I want to say that this campus provides a service that is not bad at all, but could be much better (and it should be much better, considering the university fee). Firstly, I want to share an opinion frequently heard among students,   about some teachers´ lack of pedagogy. In Chile, many universities do not require this formal studies when hire some teachers to educate students, because they just  pay attention to  the teacher that has remarkable expertise on a given subject, regardless if the teachers has the enough pedagogical qualifixcations  (technique) to transmit that knowledge to his students.  But I think it should be necessary that all the Proffessionals hired to give classes at a university should have approved pedagogy subjects.  Perhaps that is one of the ways to prevent the high rates of students ‘depressions or stress

Secondly, The curriculum, I would add branches of anthropology, since we must deal with communities… maybe I would add branches of Philosophy, because we need to learn to think. As for the workload and duration of studies, I think that in the career there are branches whose activities are very poorly distributed, and that should be evaluated and improved. Perhaps the teaching methods could also be evaluated and take advantage of the extensive facilities to work in a more "practical" way with the trees. Regarding the use of technologies, I consider it difficult, since forestry technology is very expensive, and my faculty has few students.

And lastly, perhaps if school education were better, perhaps university courses would last less time, since it  would not be necessary for students  a year of catching subjects up.

I hope these remarks can be considered as "constructive criticism". Thank you very much for reading me!
